1. What I gained from the experience of having the art gallery show was being able express what I was trying to say in each image. It was a great experience and felt great to see my own art work up and watch family and friends checking out my work.

2. Some advice I would give to the next year’s class is to use your time wisely and you will not be stressed at all. I thought in the begging I wouldn’t be able to get an A in the class but I worked hard and was able to do it.

3. Some positive aspects of this class for me were the people in my class were always positive and supportive. They were there for me when I needed someone to help me if I didn’t understand what I was supposed to do. Another positive aspect was falling in love with the work I thought I never could do.

4. I learned that I am capable of taking great pictures if I put my mind to it and try my hardest.

5. How I think I will apply what I have learned for the future is I have figured out more about my camera and enjoy it a lot more then I used to so that will motivate me to take more pictures and use my camera a lot more and actually know how to use my settings.

For my Final Concentration post I chose to stay with Black and white, value and contrast shots. Here are 12 photos I chose that I thought were my best pieces. Over the Break I went to California and got a lot of interesting photos to finish up my concentration.

Here are a couple of Black and white photos I took. I enjoy working with nature and value and constrasted photos.

Here are some of my abstract body shots. The bottom  photo is a picture of a spine with a flower. I really enjoy black and white and just tried some new experiments.

In these photos I did the same as my last post. I tried some layering to add character.

Over the weekend I took some abstract body shots to try something new and then got an idea of layering with shots i have taken in the past. The top photo is layered with a dandy lion.

 

In this photo I tried layering 3 of my photos. I used a picture of the gorge, down by the water front, the sky and this man made bike rack. I enjoy the sails because it reminds me of summer and how people and tourist enjoying windsurfing.

I tried to Layer a couple of my photos to make it more interesting and just mess around, but i didn't like it as much as i thought i would.

For my Concentration I took portrait photos of Hood River through photo stories. I did high contrast photos of what people do for job or a living in Hood River. I think Hood river is a beautiful town with lots of exciting things and wanted to show that through pictures.
